How the Bag-On-Valve Works
The Bag-On-Valve (B.O.V.) is a barrier packaging technology for liquid or viscous products. The product is completely separated from the eco-friendly air or nitrogen propellant. This separation keeps the product pure. B.O.V. packaging is 100% recyclable and offers both convenience and reliability for the consumer.
Typically B.O.V.’s are used in aluminum cans with a one inch opening for crimping the valve which is welded to a foil based packaging bag with multi-layer film laminate. Once the valve has been crimped compressed air or nitrogen is filled into the area between the bag and can. This process is called under the cup gassing and keeps the product and propellant separate at all times.
Bag-On-Valve Applications
Most fluids and viscous products can be filled in a B.O.V. system as long as the product’s viscosity is low enough to allow passage through the valve stem. A partial list of B.O.V. applications is listed below.

Features:
It is a PLC-controlled system. It consists of 2 sealing & gas filling heads. Each head is installed with a pressure sensor to guarantee each can is effectively crimped and gas-filled in pre-set pressure. Each head is in a double sealing rings structure to keep crimping tightness.
This system fills compressed air (or N2) under the cap and then crimps the cans. It adopts Siemens PLC control and a touch screen interface. It has 2 filling stations. The measuring cylinder is made of 304 stainless steel materials.
The sealing rings of the inflator adopt CFRP skeleton rings of tetrafluoroethylene produced by American, which is located in a U-groove with stainless steel reeds inside.
When sealing rings are normally worn in long-term operation, the outer diameter of sealing rings will automatically compensate due to the function of reeds. Therefore, the skeleton seal rings are corrosion-resistant, low temperature-resisting, wear-resistant and durable.
These 2-station filling machines can fill three different gases at the same time, also fill the same gas.
